Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez has split up with her long-time girlfriend Kate Jagdon who is an international DJ. They ended their more than seven-year relationship as Beatrice prepares to jet off to Israel to compete in Miss Universe 2021.

Gomez’s girlfriend Jagdon confirmed their breakup on her Instagram story yesterday i.e. 23rd November 2021. She wrote, “These past few weeks have been the most difficult time of my personal life. It was a conscious decision to keep quiet. After all, this is a personal matter and I chose my privacy above everything else.”

"I don't want to say anything more that fits anyone's situation. This statement will be short before rumors and falsifications get out of hand. Bea and I have parted ways. I am simply taking this step to move forward and go on with my life. Nothing more," she added.

Despite the split, Jagdon also wishes Bea the best of luck in her journeys. She also asked the public to respect her privacy as she said this will be the last time she will address the issue.

A proud member of LGBTQA+ community, Gomez first admitted she had a girlfriend in January 2020 when she joined Binibining Cebu 2020. During her opening statement in Miss Universe Philippines 2021, Beatrice mentioned how she was very proud that her girlfriend, Jagdon, was by her side during her journey to the crown. Now, Gomez is set to fly to Eilat, Israel on 25th November 2021 to prepare for the 70th Miss Universe, which will take place on 12th December 2021 as Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
