Philippines’ Beatrice Luigi Gomez sets off to Israel for Miss Universe 2021

The 70th edition of Miss Universe pageant, Miss Universe 2021, is all set to be held on 13th December 2021 in Eilat, Israel where Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

The delegates are in the last leg of their preparations and have started to leave for the host country, one of the contestants who recently departed to the middle eastern country is Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Philippines. The queen began her journey on the competition as she flew off to Israel on 27th November, 2021 in an exclusively designed Francis Libiran ensemble.

 

 

The Miss Universe Philippines organization announced Beatrice’s departure on Saturday and wished her well in a statement that read, “Emotions are high tonight, Philippines! We’re happy, excited, proud, and nervous but we know you got this, Beatrice Luigi Gomez Safe travels and make us all proud!”

“It’s game time Philippines! Just boarded and off to a cozy trip to the Land of Creation. Comfortably lounging in my Turkish airlines business class seat. This is gonna be a long and exciting night! See you in a few hours Israel,” the Filipino beauty also shared on her social media.

The 26-year-old is a Philippine Navy Marines Reservist under the 82nd Marine Battalion Reserve of the Naval Reserve Center of Eastern Visayas. She created history by becoming the first member from the LGBTQIA+ community to win the Miss Universe Philippines title. She is currently pursuing a degree in Mass Communication from the University of San Jose and is a sports enthusiast who played in the volleyball varsity team during her academic years.

 

 

Hailing from Cebu, the diva has been closely working with youth in contact with the law at a juvenile facility called Operation Second Chance of the Department of Social Welfare Services of Cebu City.
