The organization of Miss Universe Philippines is all set to host the coronation ceremony for Miss Universe Philippines 2021 where stunning beauties from all over the Philippines will participate and compete for the national crown and earn the opportunity to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2021. The winner will succeed Miss Universe Philippines 2020, Rabiya Mateo, for the title.

The organization recently announced the removal of the height requirement as part of the qualifications for candidates, which was highly appreciated by the pageant community along with the divas who aspire to represent their beloved country at Miss Universe. Even Miss Universe Australia 2020, Maria Thattil, was elated upon hearing the news from the Philippines, citing her own experience in her country, where she was "never encouraged to ever perceive it as a barrier."

The organization only announced the new normal screening process for the competition a few hours ago, keeping the ongoing pandemic in mind. The organization took to their official social media account and stated, "Miss Universe Philippines is introducing a New Normal Screening Process as a response to the ongoing pandemic and to value the welfare of the applicants. This innovation allows Filipinas all over the country to apply from their hometowns. The new format also engages and involves our loyal fans in selecting our final delegates. Exciting times ahead, Universe!"

The divas who have applied for the competition will be screened via Zoom call from the comfort of their homes, avoiding any travel to Manila for the screening. Following the zoom call, there will be a series of challenges that will test the divas’ readiness for the competition following the crown duties and responsibilities.

The fans will get their chance to vote for their favorites during online challenges, which will surely affect the selection of the official Miss Universe Philippines 2021 finalists. The deadline for the divas to submit their applications for Miss Universe Philippines 2021 is 24th June 2021. The winner will be Miss Universe Philippines' second representative, guided by Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup, and the beauty queen's creator, Jonas Gaffud.
