The organization of Miss Universe Philippines will soon be hosting the coronation ceremony for Miss Universe 2021 where delegates from all over the country will compete for the national crown and win an opportunity to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2021. The entries for the competition have begun.

The winner for this year’s edition will succeed Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo, who recently represented Philippines at Miss Universe 2020 where she couldn’t make it past the Top 21 but was highly appreciated for her performance throughout the competition making her country proud.

A recent name that has come up as a rumoured aspirant for the title this year is of Frances Russell aka Franki. Franki Russell is a Kiwi- Filipino model and YouTuber known for her travel and lifestyle videos and has over 200k subscribers and millions of viewers.

26-year-old Frances grew up in Dunedin, New Zealand but at the age of 12, after her father’s demise, which she feels made her grow up a lot faster and become mature minded, she finished her high school and moved to Sydney knowing nobody except her older brother. She is a recognized Australian model and actor who rose to fame for her feature in popular men's magazine, Maxim.

Apart from her modelling career, she has been a part of other competitions as well. At first glance, Franki looks fresh but another glance at her would remind her as the former housemate in the fourth batch of Pinoy Big Brother 8. She was also runner-up at Beauty & the Geek Australia 2014.

She believes in taking every opportunity that comes her way and makes sure she’s always having fun. She has had a handful experience of being raised as a mix-cultured woman which might prove to of her strength in the world of pageantry.

Currently, Franki is in Dubai for a fashion shoot, for the well-known and extremely talented Furne One, from where in one of her behind the scene stories she addressed the tea as she said, “I think it’s possible,” which began the trail of rumours around her joining the pageant.

Even though there is no clarity to her intensions of joining, the Filipino fans are excited and eager to see her step into the pageant industry. If she decides to participate, she will definitely come through as one of the strongest choices to represent the country with stunning features and an amazing mix of ethnicities.
