Filipina beauty Celeste Cortesi has arrived in the USA as she has started her preparations to represent Philippines at the upcoming Miss Universe. With her first outing in West Hollywood in California, Celeste has shown that she is a front-runner for Miss Universe 2022 crown.

As is rightly said, ‘With great power comes great responsibility’, Celeste’s title comes with enormous responsibility as well. She is a well-spoken and fluent communicator which shows she has the capability to speak loud for her cause.

Being of Italian Filipina descent, Celeste fluently speaks Italian, Filipino and English. The stunning Filipina beauty was raised in Parma, Italy. Cortesi became interested in pursuing pageantry as a career and exploring her Filipino roots after watching Pia Wurtzbach's win representing the Philippines at Miss Universe 2015.

Not new to the pageant world, Celeste represented the Filipino community in Rome, Italy at Miss Earth Philippines 2018 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. She competed against 41 other candidates and won the title in 2018. After winning the national crown, Celeste represented the Philippines at Miss Earth 2018 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. She competed against 86 other candidates and finished in the Top 8. Her stunning beauty and her pageant experience will definitely be another added advantage for her at Miss Universe 2022.

She advocates for indigenous people and their land rights. Being half-Filipina, Celeste really wanted to discover who were the Filipino. She wanted to go to places in the Philippines and experience their culture. Through her advocacy, she also wants to bring more awareness on their land rights because as a real estate agent, she also wants to do that. Celeste will surely be a strong contender for the Miss Universe 2022 crown and could finally bring the fifth crown home after Catriona Gray brought home the crown in 2018.
