Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Vanessa Ann KaIhilani Caro will be representing Iloilo Province as she has made it to the Top 50 for Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. The diva is an advocate of women empowerment. A strong and independent woman, Caro is not afraid to fight for the things that she knows she can accomplish.

Vanessa inspired other women to, “not be scared to fight for goals we believe we can achieve. We only have one life, therefore we must make the most of it. If you have a dream, work hard to realize it, and look beyond what you think you're capable of. Always remember to be kind, humble, and appreciative. With strong faith and confidence in the Lord, you can accomplish all of these."

The diva was previously crowned Miss Iloilo Dinagyang in 2016, after which she dedicated her title to some outreach projects. Vanessa believes, “Being a pageant titleholder is not just being an eminent person during events, it does not just revolve around glitz and glamour, but it revolves around the duties one has to fulfil.”

For her, “inner beauty is more important than outer beauty. I never focused on outer appearance because my parents instilled in me that inner beauty conquers all. It is so surreal to know that I am representing our prosperous province, and it is an honor that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”
