Miss Universe Philippines organization has announced the Top 40 delegates who will be competing for the fourth edition of Miss Universe Philippines. The finale date and time is yet to be announced for the pageant where Celeste Cortesi Miss Universe Philippines 2022 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
In a series of features, lets introduce the Top 40 delegates of Miss Universe Philippines 2023. Christiana Afia Yeboah, representing Tiaong, Quezon, has made it as one of the official delegates of the national competition. Christiana has had an inspiring childhood which has led her here today.
Orphaned at the age of two, Christiana had to go through life on her own. At such a young age when her mother died and her father left her leaving her penniless and somewhat lost, Christiana had to get up on her own feet. To make things worse, her grandmother who helped her at a time when she needed some assistance, also passed away.
Thankfully, Christiana had an aunt who took her in and got her into a school. She recalled that there were times when she would just sleep in order to make the hunger pass. “There were times when there is absolutely nothing, that instead of eating, I just go to sleep,” she shared.
Despite facing all these hardships in life, Christiana was able to excel in school and graduated from the University of The Philippines with flying colors as Cum Laude. She is set to become a successful individual because of her strength and perseverance and she will definitely use it all to become a stronger contestant at Miss Universe Philippines 2023.
On winning the chance to compete at the national competition, Christiana took to her official social media as she wrote, “My greatest what-if two years ago will finally be a what will. I'll finally be able to walk the #missuniversephilippines2023 stage. I'm full of gratitude for everyone who has been and will be a part of this new journey. Sending love to everyone. The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 winner will succeed Celeste Cortesi Miss Universe Philippines 2022, who represented the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 in January. The winner of the upcoming pageant will compete at the 72nd Miss Universe which will take place in El Salvador in late 2023.
