Miss Universe Philippines organization has announced the Top 40 delegates who will be competing for the fourth edition of Miss Universe Philippines. The finale date and time is yet to be announced for the pageant where Celeste Cortesi Miss Universe Philippines 2022 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
In a series of features, lets introduce the Top 40 delegates of Miss Universe Philippines 2023. Mary Eileen Gonzales, another beautiful single mother, has made it as one of the official delegates of the national competition.
Eileen is 27 years of age who also became the first single mom to win Miss Global Philippines in 2018. Through her participation at Miss Universe Philippines 2023, Eileen wants to send a strong message, “I want to convey that being a single mom will not stop you from getting your dreams. Especially if you have something to share that can help others. Just continue, and live your dreams”, she quotes.
A Filipino actress, model, entrepreneur, social influencer and beauty queen, Eileen is another strong contender for the national crown. Not new to the pageantry, Eileen competed at Miss Global Philippines 2015, where she ended up being the second to the winner Mary Candice Ramos. In 2018, she ended up winning the Miss Global Philippines 2018 crown.
Since Miss Universe Philippines this year carries the message of being transformational, Eileen would like to share her story and advocate for empowering and supporting solo parents. Eileen started her ‘Love Mary Project’, a Non-Profit Organization earlier this year. The Project is actually an expansion of her skin care business, since then she has always been supportive to young women and solo parents providing them a source of income by being her brand affiliate. And now, through her project, she specifically plans to reach out to more solo parents to make them feel valued and loved. She believes that solo parents are capable, strong and powerful.
“As a complete and secured woman, I believe that we can be who want to be, because I am phenomenal, I am a Filipina and most importantly I am a mother who had transformed the life of my son and this time the Universe”, she quotes.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 winner will succeed Celeste Cortesi Miss Universe Philippines 2022, who represented the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 in January. The winner of the upcoming pageant will compete at the 72nd Miss Universe which will take place in El Salvador in late 2023.
