Lorraine Ojimba was crowned Miss Universe Philippines – Quezon City 2024 at the finals held on 5th February 2024 at Seda Vertis North in Diliman as she became the official representative of Quezon City at Miss Universe Philippines 2024. She bested fourteen other delegates to win the regional crown.
The 25-year-old stunning beauty is of Nigerian-Filipina descent who hails from South Triangle, Diliman. Standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, Lorraine is also a model along with her sister. She has earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from New Era University.
Winning the crown, Lorraine took to her official social media as she wrote, “To God be the glory! The journey to the Miss Universe Philippines - Quezon City crown has been a roller coaster ride, nerve-racking but fun. I just know that my younger self would've just made silly faces if she was told that, one day, she would be crowned as the first ever Miss Universe Philippines - Quezon City.”
“This victory wouldn't have been possible without the people who never stopped supporting me, especially during the times when I felt like giving up and letting go of this dream. This is not the end but just the beginning. Thank you for being a part of this journey and I hope you'll stay until the nationals. My dear Quezon City and QCitizens, it's an honor to represent you on the national stage”, she added.
Along with the winner, Cam Lagmay from Bagumbayan was adjudged as the first runner-up, Nicole Lao from Don Manuel was adjudged as the second runner-up, Marinella Catangay from Batasan Hills was adjudged as the third runner-up while Stef Monce from Bagong Pag-asa was adjudged as the fourth runner-up.
The panel of jury who crowned Lorraine as the new Miss Universe Philippines – Quezon City 2024 included Genevieve Yap, Herlene Eisma, Jan Quijano, Jeric Lim, Atty. John Matthew Kua, Jojo Bragais, Ken Uy, Kennedy Kapulong, Ria Domingo, Robby Sicam, Voltaire Tayag.
Miss Universe Philippines 2024, the fifth edition of Miss Universe Philippines, will be held later this year where Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee of Makati will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
