Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2018 Kiara Liz Ortega Delgado was announced as the winner of the eighth season of dance reality show Mira Quién Baila on 24th February 2020. Kiara is 26 years of age and is a Puerto Rican dancer.

“I'm happy. I still can't believe it. During the competition, my goal was to go a week further after each presentation. It wasn't like at first that I just wanted to win and that's it. For now, being there, in the final, and mentioning my name as a winner, was something big. It is a victory that I did not expect because, although I was working to continue in the competition and to prove to myself that I could shine, I never imagined it,” Ortega emphasized after receiving the support of 44% of the public who voted.

After the Puerto Rican was announced as the winner of the "reality", animators Chiquinquirá Delgado and Javier Poza asked Castro Rivera her opinion on the result, to which the Mexican replied that it seemed unfair the way in which the winner was chosen final by public vote exclusively, as she understands that it should have been combined with the opinion of the jury.

Kiara replied to the opinions by saying, “I believe that in all competition there are good things and bad things. Univision gave them the space for them to express themselves and give their opinion, and I respect it. Obviously, it was a moment of discomfort, but I respect their opinions. I am used to this because I come from Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Universe and all competitions are like that. I was also in their position. I didn't let anything tarnish my triumph.”

Since meeting Alex "The Globetrotter", Kiara Liz connected with him as if it was just natural. Since then, he looked for a way to “contribute his grain of sand” in all the philanthropic character's projects. “In addition to helping the foundations of Puerto Rico, he also goes around the world helping poor communities, and I identified a lot with him. Right now, he has a project in Bánica, a community between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, where he is building 50 houses. He told me about the project, I was interested in helping him and, since I knew he would be in ‘Mira Quién Baila’, I identified his foundation as a goal and inspiration,” Kiara said.

Ortega said that everything has happened so fast since last night, that she has not yet had the opportunity to communicate with Alex. However, she said, "yesterday, during the competition, one of the times I entered my dressing room, I wrote to him and he replied wishing me the best, as always, and sending me many positive vibes.” She also said that, “Although a plan has not yet been developed with the competition money, nor a delivery date, there is a plan to visit Bánica and work directly with the community. I'm anxious for that day to come”.
