Miss Universe Puerto Rico will host the competition for Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 soon where the delegates will compete for the title and earn the opportunity to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2021. The winner will succeed Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2020 Estefanía Soto Torres who recently represented Puerto Rico at the 69th edition of Miss Universe and was placed in the Top 10 at the end of the event finale.
With a list of potential candidates being prepared, Michelle Marie Colón is one of the divas who is not only heading for the crown but is also one of the favorites for the title as she seems like an ideal candidate to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2021. Michelle is 20 years old, from Bayamon, and is a Biology and Pre-Medical student, as well as the founder of the C.A.R.E. Empowering Program. Michelle is a proud Puerto Rican, Afro-descendant, and Caribbean woman who has embraced herself as a powerful young woman and is looking forward to representing Puerto Rico in an international competition.
The diva has always been passionate about things in her life and has showcased a keen interest in fine arts, mastering skills such as singing, dancing, drawing, and cheerleading. She stepped into the field of modeling when she managed to work for designers Jorge Diep, Ana Maria Zuluaga, Raymond Designer, etc., which helped her to learn the insights of a beauty pageant world and experience all of it firsthand and this experience and knowledge will help her to be a step ahead of her competitors.
Michelle decided to enter for Miss Teen World Puerto Rico 2017, and later proclaimed herself as Miss Teen Americas Puerto Rico 2018 and now, with her dedication and determination towards Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 crown, she is surely emerging as one of the favorites for the title. She is strong, confident, and has used her platform to empower women across the world. She shared, "There is nothing more beautiful than when you prove to yourself just how strong you are".
The diva feels immensely proud to be a part of a profession that is helping people to live through the pandemic and is looking forward to doing her bit as well. She believes that dedication, discipline beats brilliance and giftedness and is optimistic about things in life. Michelle believes that she has the abilities and skills to be able to win the crown and represent Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2021 and is thankful for every opportunity she has had till now, which has helped her to shape up herself as a model and as a human being.
The diva took to her social media to share a heartfelt post for the reigning Miss Universe Puerto Rico Estefania Soto Torres as she wrote, "Estefania has been the queen indicated at the right time. Your video interviews, your writings, your podcasts have served as inspiration not only for me and the rest of Puerto Ricans, but they have transcended borders. And that's what being the universal ambassador is all about. Thank you for giving your body and soul to your mission. And I take the opportunity to quote our great philosopher Walter Mercado, "Decide to shine, decide to live. Be like the waves. Get up to reach the sky "Success reigns, and may your triumph fill Puerto Ricans with peace, but above all, much, but a lot of love."
