Former Miss Puerto Rico Catalina Morales is now competing for Matt James' heart on The Bachelor season 25 as she has entered as a wildcard contestant. The season 25 began with 32 women, which was a record number of contestants for the franchise.

Given the covid restrictions, the fans thought there would be no wildcards halfway through, however, five new contestants have entered the show which includes Catalina Morales, Brittany Galvin, Kim Li, Michelle Young, and Ryan Claytor.

Catalina is a 30-year-old beauty pageant veteran who won Miss Puerto Rico 2015 and reigned successfully for an entire year. She competed in Miss Universe 2015 but unfortunately could not place in the Top 20. Morales began her career in pageantry in 2008 when she was selected to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Italia nel Mondo 2008 but did not place. Morales returned to pageantry three years afterwards, when she represented Gurabo in the Miss World Puerto Rico 2011 competition, placing in the top 12.

Outside of her career in entertainment and television, Morales is also a practicing attorney, who works in business and entertainment law in New York City.

The existing Bachelor contestants weren't exactly thrilled about the new women coming in, but Catalina didn't get the worst reactions from her co-stars. She is hoping to find the love of her life with Matt. Miss Maryland USA 2019 Mariela Pepin, the 24-year-old beauty queen from Odenton also entered Bachelor Season 25 in January 2021.
