Miss Universe Romania organization held the finale of the 2021 edition on 28th August 2021 at the Face Club Bucharest in Bucharest, Romania where Carmina Olimpia Coftas was crowned the new queen and became the official representative of Romania at Miss Universe 2021. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Romania 2020 Bianca Lorena Tirsin.
Carmina is 20 years of age and was born and raised in Târgu Mure?. The place where she found her passion and interest for the work was Cluj. Currently, Carmina is pursuing her third year of Bachelor’s degree in history at the faculty of history and philosophy of the Babes Bolyai University. There, she also discovered the world of fashion and has been working as a model for the last six years.
Since 2021, the stunning beauty has been working as a TV & Radio producer, interviewing well-known doctors in the area on medical subjects, in a constant effort to show and bolster how important health care is, through social media. She is a former presenter for Orizont TV and works as a host for Napoca Live radio station.

Carmina took to her official social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, "Miss Universe Romania It's official! Everyone, @blackcab.romania has just brought me to the hotel and all I can say is this: this journey has been a blessing and I am truly grateful for all your messages, posts about me, tops in which you've included me and for the encouragement you've given me. I will try to reply to all of you as soon as possible!"
"Each one of the girls were absolutely unique and beautiful in their own way and it has been a pleasure for me to get to know them! We formed such a united group and always had such good atmosphere. It's too bad that not all of us have been crowned today, that not all of us are MURO. Even so, I look forward to meet them again", she added.
Earlier this year, Miss Universe Romania 2020 Bianca Lorena Tirsin represented Romania at Miss Universe 2020 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 20. Romania is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Universe.
