Maja Marcic was declared the first runner-up at Miss Serbia 2018 (Mis Srbije 2018) and crowned Miss Universe Serbia 2018. She will now represent Serbia in Miss Universe 2018 to be held next year. She was also awarded with Miss Porto Carras 2017 at the same event.
Maja is a native of Rijeka, across Paris, where she lived as a baby and later grew up in Bar, Novi Sad. She has got a talent for fashion, painting and design and pursues Interior Designing by profession. She also enjoys modelling and has been a model since 6 years now. Talented woman that she is, she has already received an R&B college scholarship this year. She aspires to make a career in acting as well. Natasa Vojnovic, a famous model of Serbia inspires her in life.
Talking about her journey at Miss Serbia 2017, she said, “I think that I have built up a strong character so far, and that this "pillar" was built from my own opinions and decisions. So, I knew what I wanted in this competition and there was no room for suspicion or difficult moments.”
She believes that, “Beauty is transient, so let the charisma play its role.”
At the same event, Ivana Trisic was crowned Miss World Serbia 2018 to represent Serbia in Miss World 2018. Nina Jovanovic was declared second runner-up.
