The Miss Universe Singapore is all set to host the coronation ceremony for the 2021 edition on 17th September 2021, where eight finalists will compete for the national crown and win the opportunity to represent Singapore at Miss Universe 2021. The winner will succeed and will be crowned by Miss Universe Singapore 2020 Bernadette Belle Ong.
With less than 12 hours remaining for the final event, the organization has revealed the judging panel for the competition. The organization has created a panel of star-studded international line-up and some of the most experienced faces in the industry.
So, without any further ado, let us meet the judges for Miss Universe Singapore 2021 –
Leila Lopes Miss Universe 2011
Leila Lopes is an Angolan actress, TV host, model and beauty queen who won the titles of Miss Angola UK 2010, Miss Angola 2010 and Miss Universe 2011. Prior to being a contestant in beauty pageants, she studied business management at the University of Suffolk in Ipswich, UK. Lopes is actively involved in raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and the discrimination that people with the disease experience.
Shamcey Supsup-Lee Miss Universe Philippines National Director
Shamcey Gurrea Supsup-Lee is a Filipino architect, beauty pageant titleholder, and pageant director. She was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2011, after which, she represented Philippines at the Miss Universe 2011 pageant and finished as the third runner-up. After participating in national pageants, Supsup became a judge in the talent show ‘It's Showtime’ in 2011. In 2019, Supsup was appointed by Miss Universe Organization as national director for the Miss Universe Philippines Organization.
Aisha Tochigi Miss Universe Japan 2020
Aisha Harumi Tochigi is a model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2020 and she represented Japan at the recently held Miss Universe 2020 pageant earlier this year in Miami. She is of Ghanaian-Japanese heritage and has been volunteering in both countries for women’s rights along with working for the children in the community.
Frederick Lee
Amidst the flouncy dresses and colorful fabrics in his studio, Singaporean couturier Mr. Frederick Lee is a well-known name in the pageant industry, whose creations have graced the runways of Fashion Weeks around the world. Couture to him is the business of selling dreams, one garment at a time. Lee believes that innovation in couture will continue setting modern standards in clothing design and he will continue to do what he loves most, what he does best, presenting an exciting new perspective in the world of couture.
Winston Ling Miss Universe Brazil National Director
Winston Ling is a Brazilian Angel investor and founder of Olvebra and Petropar, in Rio Grande do Sul. He has lived in Hong Kong, China, since 2001 and is involved in import, export and real estate business. On July 6, 2020 it was announced that Ling had bought the franchise of the Miss Brazil Universe with the organization Miss Universe.
These judges will have the difficult task of selecting the new Miss Universe Singapore 2021. The winner who will be crowned Miss Universe Singapore this year must understand the values and responsibilities of the title. The Miss Universe Singapore platform is focused on showcasing what it means to be an empowered Singapore woman in this modern day and age - someone who is diverse and inclusive in her perspective, sophisticated, intelligent and a leader in her respective field.
