Andrea Martínez crowned Miss Universe Spain 2020

The organization of Miss Universe Spain hosted the coronation ceremony of Miss Universe Spain 2020 just few hours ago at Los Olivos Beach Resort, Costa Adeje, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain where Andrea Martinez was crowned as the new queen and earned an opportunity to represent the country at Miss Universe 2020 stage. She succeeds Miss Universe Spain 2019 Natalie Ortega for the title.

Hailing from León, Andrea Martínez Fernandez is 27-years-old and stands 180 cm tall and is a business administrator in addition to having completed a master's degree in project manager. He speaks fluent English, Italian and French. She is very excited to take over the crown duties as Miss Universe Spain 2020 and prepare herself for representing Spain at Miss Universe 2020 stage.

Miss Universe Spain 2020 Andrea Martinez’s court includes:

First runner-up: Andrea de las Heras

Second runner-up: Ainhoa Portillo

Andrea is not new to the world of pageantry as she competed in Miss España 2015 and was placed at Top 10 by the end of the event finale. She loves sports, music, fashion, and anything related to the coast and the sea. She played for the women’s basketball team of Castile and León in the Spanish junior and cadet championships preselected for the U15 European championships with the national team.

The diva is also a fan of former Miss Universe queens including; Dayana Mendoza, Catriona Gray, Pia Wurtbach, Iris Mittenaere and Zozibini Tunzi. They are the characteristics that most often draw her attention and she see them accentuated in them. She has mentioned that she decided to participate at Miss Universe Spain 2020 only after she did her research work and discovered the advocacies and empowerment enabled by the competition. She described herself as honest, hardworking, and a loyal woman who has her focus on winning the title.

After several years facing bullying, Andrea has been able to build herself a career which helps her to advocate about stop bullying. She feels that beauty reflects what one is from the inside rather than on the outside and beauty pageants have helped her to understand that. She believes that her inner strength is her superpower and she has assured that she is going to perform her best at Miss Universe 2020 stage and make the people of Spain proud.
