Miss Universe Thailand 2017 is all geared up for the finale night, scheduled to be held on 29th July 2017, and all the contestants are all set to compete and win the coveted title of Miss Universe Thailand 2017. The winner will get a chance to represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2017.
On 14 July 2017, Miss Universe Thailand 2017 contest opened the stage for the 40 beautiful girls to show off in the swimsuit for the first time at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel.
40 girls entered the stage with a group walk wearing beautiful jewellery, which was then followed by “Peach show” (Two-piece). All the contestants looked stunning in their respective outfits and mesmerised the audience with their walk and presentation. Audience cheered up for their favourite contestants and boosted their confidence.
The competition is inspired by the trend of swimwear from around the world. There are total 8 types of swimsuits depending upon the requirement of delegates, says Suang Pakprasri, president of Miss Universe Thailand organisation.
For the next events between July 19-26, the 40 contestants will travel to Chiang Mai for their activities. And will return to practice rehearsal in Bangkok again. The Prelim Limousine Contest will be held on Thursday, July 27, at the Royal Paragon Hall.
Thailand has never won the coveted title of Miss Universe, however, last year, Chalita Suansane, managed to reach in top 6 and in the year 2015, Aniporn Chalermburanawong made it to the top 15 at Miss Universe pageant.
Miss Universe Thailand is a beauty pageant that has been held every year since 2000. The pageant was originally called Miss Thailand Universe. In 2012, the name of the pageant was then changed to Miss Universe Thailand.
