At the conclusion of the glittering gala of Miss Universe Thailand 2018 held tonight, Ning Sophida (aka Ning Sophida Karnchanarin) emerged victorious and was crowned the new Miss Universe Thailand by her predecessor and outgoing beauty queen Maria Lynn Ehren, the Miss Universe Thailand 2017. Ning will now represent Thailand at the 67th edition Miss Universe international beauty pageant to be held later this year.
Miss Universe Thailand 2018 was the nineteenth edition of the Miss Universe Thailand pageant and was held tonight at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon in Bangkok.
Ning’s court comprised of -
First Runner-up – Nook Thitaree Kasorn
Second Runner-up - Jubjib Palita Puttarat
Third Runner-up - Vena Praveenar Singh
Fourth Runner-up - Valentina Ploy Giardullo
Nicole Nicolene Limsnukan, the People’s Choice Winner, though placed amongst Top 10 could not proceed to Top 5. Top 10 finalists also included Natharuetai Akkarakijwattanakul, Nitar Aniphan Chalermburanwong, Aye Vanaporn Makaduangkeo and Bow Supatra Kiatjarungphan.
Remaining Top 16 finalists were Karn Maynisa, Aui Penpimol Sasithammawong, Tavee Ruechanok, Kitty Watusiri Jaiklang, Bow Pichaya Suwansawek and Pinn Phornnipatkul.
Winners of special awards included Jubjib Palita (Best Smile & Best in Swimsuit), Urachaphat Dechabenjanon (Miss Beauty & Elegance) and Natharuetai Akkarakijwattanakul (Best Skin).
