The Miss Universe Thailand organization is all set to host the screening and application process for the 2022 edition soon as delegates from all over the country will be selected to compete for the national crown and an opportunity to represent Thailand at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant. Miss Universe Thailand 2021 Anchilee Scott-Kemmis will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

One of the first few divas to join the national competition this year is Renée Veronica Pagano representing Phuket. 22 year-old Veronica is a student of the Faculty of Communication Arts, International Program in Chulalongkorn University. She is an actress and model by profession. Veronica used to have a performance on Channel 7 Drama Gentleman Thief and Barefoot Millionaire.

Not new to the glamour industry, she is experienced and comfortable to be up front and present herself on the stage, making her a strong bet for the national crown. Pagano is a half Thai- Italian woman and can speak fluent Thai, English and Italian.

As Phuket’s representative, the diva will be following the footsteps of Tharina Botes and Amanda Obdam. Tharina was one of the strongest contenders last year whereas Amanda represented Thailand at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant and made it to the Top 10 finalists.

For this year’s national pageant, Thailand is definitely about to witness some of the best talents in the country. Last year, Anchilee Scott-Kemmis represented Thailand at the Miss Universe 2021 pageant where she was highly appreciated for her performance and skills but unfortunately finished unplaced at the end of the event.
