Miss Universe Ukraine organization, due to the current war situation in Ukraine, has appointed Miss Universe Ukraine 2021 1st runner-up Viktoria Apanasenko as the new Miss Universe Ukraine 2022 as she becomes the official representative of Ukraine at Miss Universe 2022.
Viktoriia Apanasenko is a professional model and volunteer. She helps to provide children, elderly people, and internally displaced families with food and medicine. Victoria graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of Taras Shevchenko National University with a degree in Social Work. She chose this profession because she has always had a sincere desire to help solve social problems and to be able to support vulnerable populations.
While Apanasenko appreciated and thanked everyone for the opportunity, she remained focus on the current situation and need of the hour. She wrote,“It is very important to keep talking about the war! We must be a reliable rear for our Armed Forces! We need the support of other countries to save the lives of our people and stop the cruelty of Russia!”
“I am aware of my responsibility to be one of Ukraine's ambassadors in the international arena at such a difficult and terrible time. But I am Ukrainian - we are brave, strong and determined. No matter what, I believe that together we can defeat the evil that has come to our lands”, she added.
Last year, Hannah Neplyakh Miss Ukraine Universe 2021 represented Ukraine at Miss Universe 2021 but failed to place in the Top 16. Ukraine is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Universe.
