Quynh Nga was officially announced as the new national director for Miss Universe Vietnam on Friday, 24th February 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. With the official announcement, Quynh Nga will now head the national competition.

Quynh Nga is the news anchor and former pageant contestant. She will be responsible for the pageant that will select Vietnam's next representative at Miss Universe starting with the 72nd edition to be held later this year in El Salvador.

Also present at the event were Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of the USA and second runner-up Andreína Martínez Founier of the Dominican Republic, who were the special guests. The official license signing ceremony took place at the spectacular The Reverie Saigon.

Miss Universe Organization, under JKN Global Group's Anne Jakrajutatip, introduced series of changes one of which was changes in the national franchises. Miss Universe Vietnam is one of the many national organizations who have introduced these major changes. "This momentous occasion marks the beginning of an exciting new era in the pageant’s history and we are delighted to be part of it," Miss Universe Vietnam organization shared.

Following the event, a gala dinner was also held in the evening at the Rose Villa Saigon where Miss Universe 2022 team concluded the successful Asian tour that went on for two weeks in four countries.
