At the grand finale of Miss Universe Paraguay 2017 (Miss Universo Paraguay 2017) held in Cuidad del Este, Alto Parana, Paraguay on 2nd September 2017, Ariela Machado from Amambay was crowned as the winner and she will now represent Paraguay in Miss Universe 2017. She succeeds and was crowned by the outgoing queen, Miss Universe Paraguay 2016 Andrea Melgarejo.
At the same event, Daisy Lezcano from Paraguarí was crowned Miss International Paraguay 2017 (Miss Internacional Paraguay 2017). Daisy will represent Paraguay in Miss International 2018 pageant to held on 9th November 2018 in Tokyo, Japan.
Both Ariela and Daisy were part of our Top 6 favourites for the pageant, and are great selections to represent Paraguay in Miss Universe 2017 and Miss International 2017.
Remaining finalists were Griscel Jara Vera from Concepción, Belen Palmerola from Central, Amanda Villalba from Canindeyú, Yei Park from Asunción, Gabriela Benitez from San Pedro, Marlene Irala from Boquerón, Nataly Ramirez from Caazapá, Laura Beatriz Encina from Alto Paraná, Yasmin Almeida Franz from Itapúa, Brenda Flecha from Caaguazú, and Vannesa Lautenchslager.
On the same day, a different event was held to select the representatives of Paraguay for Miss World 2018 and Miss Earth 2018.
