At the grand finale of Miss World Paraguay 2017 (Miss Mundo Paraguay 2017) held in Cuidad del Este, Alto Parana, Paraguay on 2nd September 2017, Paola Oberladstatter from Alto Paraná was crowned as the winner and she will now represent Paraguay in Miss World 2017 to be held in Sanya, China. She succeeds and was crowned by the outgoing queen, Miss World Paraguay 2016 Simone Patricia Freitag. She was part of our Top 6 favourites to win the title.
At the same event, Valeria Ivasiuten from Itapúa was crowned Miss Earth Paraguay 2017 (Miss Tierra Paraguay 2017). Valeria will represent Paraguay in Miss Earth 2017 pageant to held on 4th November 2017 in the Philippines. Last year, Vanessa Alexandra Ramirez, Miss Earth Paraguay 2016, represented her country in Miss Earth 2016.
Other finalists who competed in the event were Cecilia Mencia from Paraguarí, Lidia Amarilla from Concepción, Ellen Morán Benítez from Central, Paola Sosa Franco from Canindeyú, Maria Fernanda Perelló from Asunción, Gabriela Cáceres from Presidente Hayes, Fiorella Crosa Vera from San Pedro, María Elena Amarilla from Cordillera, Elvira Boveda from Caazapá, and Giselle Wiegert from Caaguazú.
On the same day, a different event was held to select the representatives of Paraguay for Miss Universe 2017 and Miss International 2017.
