The Miss Wales competition has been going since the 1950’s and has been organised by Cardiff events company Vibe since 2004. In recent years, it has grown to become more popular than ever with around 1,000 women registering an interest in the competition each year.
The winner is automatically guaranteed a place at the most respected and established beauty contest in the world - Miss World, as the representative of Wales. She also wins an exciting package of prizes. In the last 10 years, the competition has also raised nearly £500,000 for children’s charities in Wales.
On the coronation night of Miss Wales 2018, 23-year-old Miss Wales 2017 Hannah Williams from Pencoed in Bridgend will pass on her crown to one worthy finalist, who will then get to represent Wales at the Miss World 2018 competition where Miss World 2017 Maushi Chhillar will crown her successor.

The Miss Wales final will take place on Saturday 28 April at The Riverfront in Newport.
The 28 contestants vying the crown of Miss Wales 2018 are Shonie, Emma, Beth, Louise, Sophie T, Rebecca, Hollie, Paige, Charlotte, Holly P, Nia, Emily N, Emily, Lois, Chloe L, Elizabeth, Bethany, Claudia, Catherine, Erin, Celyn, Jade, Jessie, Hanna, Aimee, Ellie, Katie, and Sophie B.
