Nichole Greene crowned Miss West Virginia USA 2016

Nichole Greene was crowned Miss West Virginia USA 2016 on October 11, 2015 in Flatwoods. She will have a few months to set up for Miss USA 2016, where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. Greene succeeds Miss West Virginia USA 2015 Andrea Mucino. Lauren Roush of Mason was titled as first runner up, Marlisa Lake of Philippi was adjudged as second runner up, Tori Rohr of Morgantown was crowned as third runner up followed by the fourth runner up, Allie Cole of Spencer. Marlisa Lake was awarded with the title of Miss Congeniality and Lauren Roush was felicitated with the title of Miss Photogenic at the pageant.

Nichole Greene is the daughter of David and Kim Coles of Charleston. She is a graduate of Nitro High School and Marshall University with a Bachelor’s degree in both English Literature and Communications. She is a professional make-artist and hopes to create her own industry-leading cosmetic line, as such her sparkling glamorous appearances do not comes as surprise!

While at Marshall University she was on the Dean’s List and a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Collegiate Honor Society. She was named the Alpha XI Delta Most Inspirational Sister, a very coveted honor indeed! While in High School she led a group of fellow classmates to overcome literary censorship. She collects Disney’s Beauty and the Beast memorabilia and loves to curl up with a good book. Besides, she also enjoys modeling, watching Jeopardy and yoga.

West Virginia has not been significantly victorious at Miss USA and they have never produced a winner. After an eighteen-year drought that ended in 2005, three West Virginian delegates placed within the last few years counting, Kristen Morrison in 2005, Jessi Pierson in 2009 and Chelsea Welch in 2013.
