At the conclusion of Miss West Virginia USA 2017 finale held at Creative Arts Centre Lyell B Clay Theatre at WVU, West Virginia, Casey Lassiter was declared the winner. She will now represent her state in Miss USA 2018 to be held next year. She accepted her crown by the reigning Miss West Virginia USA 2017 Lauren Roush.
Casey is passionate about communicating and building relationships. As a graduate of Marietta College with a Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a minor in health communications and biology, Casey plans to attend graduate school to become a physician assistant. A supporter of women’s health, her goal is to one day specialize in obstetrics and gynecology, providing services to women in rural West Virginia. When she is not studying, Casey is having fun running 5Ks across the state of West Virginia, visiting haunted and historic places, and baking.
Casey has been a part of pageantry world as far as she can remember. Participating in various regional pageants or being the Miss Senior Princess 2013 in her college, she has been a crown and sash fan from the beginning.
At the same event, Trinity Tiffany of Huntington was crowned Miss Teen West Virginia USA 2018 and she will now go on to represent her state in Miss USA Teen USA to be held next year.
