At the ongoing preliminary events of Miss World 2014 pageant, Koyal Rana of India bagged the World Fashion Designer Award held on November 29’ 2014, along with two other events which were selection of Top 20 models and Beach Beauty. The runner up being Ellie Mckeating of Scotland and second runner up being Dhio Moreno Romero of Dominican Republic.
Miss World India Koyal Rana wore the gown designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock. First runner-up Miss Scotland Ellie Mckeating wore the gown designed by Eleganza Sposa and Siobhan Mackenzie and the second runner up Miss Dominican Republic Dhio Moreno was wearing Keyther Esteuez’s designed gown.
For the World Fashion Designer Award, contestants walked the ramp in the ravishing gowns designed by the designers from their home countries and were judged on the basis of their beauty, elegance, grace accompanied by their equally beautiful gowns. The panel of judges for the World Fashion Designer Award consisted of Mike Dixon, Donna Darby, Andrew Minarik, staff from the FRA, a panel of FRA students, and Miss World Chairman, Julia Morley.
