And the fun begins in Puerto Rico as the reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna is at the island. Mireia Lalaguna Royo, became the first Spanish woman to win the Miss World title. With her friendly and amicable behavior, the beauty queen is already stealing the hearts of Puerto Ricans.
"For me it is an honor to be in this country I never visited. It is the first time Caribbean people have received me with great joy.” She said with a smile on her face that no one can take away from her.
She further says – “I enjoy traveling a lot, every place is completely different, enriches me. I have a feeling I can not explain in words , "said the 23 years old queen.

On March 9’ 2016, the Barcelona beauty will attend a media event where she will talk about her advocacy and “beauty with purpose” agenda.
These activities are scheduled to be held at a Isla Verde hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Mireia Lalaguna says - "I arrived very tired, but I had a great reception at the airport by my friend Keysi Vargas, current Miss World Puerto Rico. I met her (Keysi Vargas) and Wilnelia Merced Miss World 1975 when we competed at Miss World 2015 competition which was held in December in China.”
She further says - "In such a short time I felt the warmth of the people, the country, and I am very happy. I am eagerly waiting to know more about this beautiful city."
The pharmacy student, who was attended by the Secretary of State, Rolando Torres Carrión, is ready to enjoy the exotic beaches and is keenly waiting to learn the recipe of Caribbean salsa.
On her fondness for Caribbean salsa dish she says - "I love salsa, and also salsa dance, and fanatically want to learn the popular Caribbean dish. I will see if I can stay a few more days and take advantage of the weekend, depending on the agenda. In addition, Keysi and I will cook a Carebbian typical dish ". Said Mireia, who was in Indonesia last week for crowning the new Miss Indonesia queen.
The beauty queen also visited Lowa, USA and joined a celebrity cast in the annual Variety Iowa Telethon, to help raise over $3.7 million for local charities!
“It was a real pleasure to be part of such an amazing team and help raise money for great causes in Iowa. During my time in the state I learnt a great deal about the efforts made by so many groups, who will all benefit greatly from this event. Every year, thousands of lives are changed through the generosity of the people. Iowa you are amazing!”
