Reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna arrived in Puerto Rico this week as a special guest to the Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico organization. Yesterday Morning (March 9’ 2016) she attended the Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2016 press conference with Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2015 Keys, Marie Vargas.
During the press conference, the reigning Miss World also got the opportunity to meet the executive director of Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico, Carlos Bermúdez. She discussed various issues and topics regarding the pageant, with the executive director of Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico. The finale of Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2016 is slated to be held on March 18’ 2016 at the Fine Arts Center in Santurce, and the splendid show will broadcast live on Telemundo at 8:00 p.m. (Puerto Rico time)
At the press conference Mireia said - "I arrived very tired, but I had a great reception at the airport from my friend Keysi (current who I met in December in China and Wilnelia Merced, Miss World 1975. In such a short time here I have felt the warmth of the people, the country, and I am excited waiting to know more about this city. "

Miss world continued, saying “It is so nice to see Keysi again, I was really looking forward to it. It’s one of the great things about being Miss World, every nation I visit there is this one person there already who I have shared a unique experience with, and we have this bond, it’s really something.”
Mireia, who was in Indonesia last week, crowning the Miss Indonesia, and last weekend in Iowa participating in a telethon of Variety Clubs in which they raised about $ 3 million for the charitable trusts, will also visit a hospital in San Jorge. She said: “It’s rewarding because it’s very nice to see when you become a figure can help many charities and demonstrate that we are more than just a pretty face.”
Spending a week in the Caribbean paradise, Mireia will also judge the Top Model Round of Miss Mundo De Puerto Rico and will also judge several of the challenge events slated to be held in the national final.
