The finale of Miss World 2016 concluded on 18th December 2016 with the crowning of Puerto Rican beauty Stephanie Del Valle as the winner. Not many were happy with the results and the winner announcement created a hullabaloo among Filipino fans. It’s been more than two months that Stephanie was crowned as the winner. But, there has been no update as to what she has been upto these days, and people are question the MWO about it.

We don’t know what Stephanie is upto these days, but we do know what the national winners and representatives are doing. The national winners are in full swing and are dedicatedly working on their Beauty with a Purpose projects. Talking about beauties and their projects, Miss World Thailand 2016 Jinnita Buddee, and runners up, recently visited Nakhon Sri Thammarat to help flood victims. The team distributed food items and relief packets. The beauty queens also took out time to meet the victims and help them out on their requirements.

On the other hand, Miss World Dominican Republic 2016 - Yaritza Reyes (Miss World Carribbean 2016) visited children at Antonio Musa Hospital in San Pedro. Yaritza dsitributed toys to the kids and also took out time to play with them, getting to know them better. The beauty queen spent her day talking to them and knowing more about the hospital and their requirements. Also, Miss World Sri Lanka 2016 - Amritaa De Silva made a donation of a Casio keyboard to a blind young boy. Amritaa is now continuing to give tuition classes and using the profits to help children who are mentally or physically challenged.

Miss World is no longer just a beauty pageant, it has emerged as a platform for young women from across the globe to showcase their talent, intelligence and work towards a greater good. Miss World pageant provides these contestants to display their culture and raise awareness towards various humanitarian causes, every year the pageant raises millions of pounds for charitable work under the banner of “Beauty with a Purpose” program.
