Manushi Chhillar represented India at Miss World 2017 on 18th November 2017 at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China. The diva was crowned Miss World 2017 at the end of the event finale and became the sixth representative from India to win the title for the country.
Manushi decided to take a turn towards Bollywood and is now getting ready for her debut in the upcoming historical drama ‘Prithviraj’, alongside Akshay Kumar. The movie is slated to release in November 2021 which is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. Manushi plays the love interest and beloved wife Sanyogita of Akshay Kumar who plays Chauhan in the movie.
As she gets ready to make her debut on-screen, the beauty queen has already bagged another movie with Yash Raj Films which she signed in the month of August 2020. According to the sources, the second movie of Manushi has been tentatively titled, “The Great Indian Family or TGIF” where she will be seen romancing URI actor, Vicky Kaushal. The movie is a comedy story revolving around a dysfunctional family and the sources close to the production house has mentioned, “It’s a mad cap comedy of errors and Vicky’s first comedy film. It’s also called the same because TGIF is also a very millennial term. But it’s a tentative title. Aditya Chopra could also ask for a change on the same.”
The reports suggest that the two have already packed up their schedule for the movie but they were recently snapped while shooting for a few left off sequences of the movie at Maheshwar Ghat. The Yash Raj Films is pretty sure and certain that TGIF won't release this year as they mentioned "Prithviraj releases on Diwali this year and the makers are clear that this has to be Manushi's debut project because it's a grand period drama that will position her really well. TGIF will release only around early 2022."
