Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar has recently received a grand welcome on her homecoming after winning the coveted crown of Miss World 2017, making the whole nation proud. Fans can’t stop admiring and commending the beauty already.

Just after her arrival, she was invited to address the media after her big win for a press conference. She started her speech by sharing her experiences in detail and views about the pageantry world. She also spoke about her future plans, especially with regard to her campaign to promote menstrual hygiene in the country.

Manushi looked stunning in a beige colour outfit complimenting it with green colour dupatta (scarf) and with magnificent crown of Miss World on her head. When asked about how she felt when she was announced as the winner, Manushi mentioned, “When I heard them say India, I was ecstatic. It took me a few seconds to absorb it. It’s a moment when you want to laugh and cry at the same time. This was my dream always... to hear India being announced the winner. That was the happiest moment of my life.” She further added, “The victory is slowly sinking in. I am getting a lot of congratulatory calls and messages from everyone back home. I’m overwhelmed by all the love and support that I have received.”

Another difference that she wishes to make is in her home state of Haryana, India. "Right after I won even the state and national contests, a lot of young women had queries about it. I am hoping this win will encourage them to take a step ahead... I have been lucky to have very supportive parents but if there is someone who doesn't have support, they must still never give up. If you have the courage, you will make it through," Manushi later said.

In the year ahead, Manushi will be travelling Abroad to participate in ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ projects along with her co-participants at the Miss World pageant. "I am really excited that I will be visiting four continents this year and spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene. So, Bollywood is something that isn't on my mind right now”.
