Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar is all set to make her debut in the world of Bollywood in the upcoming year 2020 with a historical period drama film called Prithviraj. Chhillar is only 23 years old and has a long list of achievements under her belt which makes it clear that her Bollywood break is completely justified and something for us Indians to be proud of.

Manushi will be seen in a lead role opposite Akshay Kumar in the film Prithviraj. The film is based on the life and heroism of the fearless Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan, played by Akshay Kumar, and Chhillar plays the role of Samyukta, his spouse. The love between Prithviraj and Samyukta is one of India's most popular medieval romances, immortalized in Chand Bardai’s epic Prithviraj Raso. Further discussing her role, she says - “It is a huge responsibility to play princess Samyukta. She was a powerful personality and stood up for what is right and took the most important decisions of her life herself. Her life is an extremely important chapter in Indian history, and I will try my best to play her as accurately as possible.”

Manushi is extremely thrilled to make her debut opposite Akshay Kumar since he is known for his discipline, dedication and passion towards film and the industry. He is an extremely knowledgeable actor to work with and she says that she will surely get to learn a lot during the course of shooting.

Chhillar is the sixth representative from India to win the Miss World pageant. She is the brand ambassador for various brands, including Club Factory and Malabar Gold and Diamonds, one of the world's largest retail jewellery groups. Chhillar was voted as the 'Times Most Desirable Woman of India' in 2017. We are delighted that Chhillar has taken this step towards her dream and we cannot wait for her to ace her role as Princess Samyukta in the movie.
