Emma Mary Tiglao was crowned Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2019 held on 9th June 2019 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines. She was crowned by her predecessor Karen Juanita Gallman Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2018. She is now going to represent Philippines in Miss Intercontinental 2019.
The diva, in her recent introductory video, talked about her life and how this all started when she was 14 years of age and had her first beauty pageant in her hometown Pampanga, the Christmas capital of the country. Through her journey, she realized that the sparkle of the crown she is carrying, is momentary. She believes that, it’s the purpose by which it is given that is far more important to find a calling in this world, and to act upon it. To make a difference in the lives of others, no matter how small. She also believes that in the end, the true measure of fulfillment is not always in winning, but in discovering the best in all of us.
Emma also talked about her life experiences and said that, “My life-changing moment began with the sight of little children in poor communities, abandoned by their parents because of poverty. I decided to help them the best way I could”. While she loves being around kids, Emma also have a keen interest in travel. So, she took up and finished a college degree in tourism. This helped her in discovering and appreciating the diverse cultures around the world, and gave her the opportunity to expand her horizons. She says, “Finding my purpose made me love and appreciate life better. Every smile I get from helping the less fortunate and each hug from a child I nurture makes me feel alive”. Pageantry gave her a deeper sense of purpose, and fate had it that she be sent to Egypt, one of the world’s greatest cradles of civilization. She believes that even if she comes from a nation of Islands 10,000 miles away, the countries are linked by over half-a-century of friendship. Her message for everyone in the pageant is, “As we converge here today from 7 different continents for Miss Intercontinental, let us remember the insightful words of egypt’s very own diplomat, and the former secretary-general of the united nations. Boutros Boutros Gali, who said, ‘Diversity is a vitally important hallmark of democracy’. In the pursuit of our comman purpose, let us raise our diverse voices together, so our continents can hear us loud and clear!”.
The 23-year-old Emma Mary Tiglao hails from Pampanga. She has earlier also been a semifinalist at Binibining Pilipinas 2014 and Miss World Philippines 2015 4th Princess. Other than being a full-time model, she also likes hosting events and shows. This diva believes in spreading positivity and for that she uses her social media handles. Emma looked extremely gorgeous at the finale and mesmerized everybody with her beauty and elegance.
Emma is not new to pageantry and after her experiences in the same, she accepted modelling assignments and started working in Malaysia and Cambodia. The talented diva also got a chance to be a part of a panel of judges in the Miss Universe Cambodia 2016. While working abroad she learnt a lot and grew as a person. Later on, she decided to pursue her dream of being a Binibining Pilipinas titleholder, hence she enrolled herself in at the Dale Carnegie to improve her communication skill. After rigorous training, mentoring and practising Emma became completely ready to participate in Binibining Pilipinas 2019, where she not only won the title but also was crowned as Miss Binibining Pilipinas 2019. With that, Emma also took home two special awards during finals night – the Miss Pizza Hut award and the Pitoy Moreno Best in National Costume for her outfit "Fe Esperanza Caridad." Her national costume was a labor of love, involving inmates from the Angeles City Jail.

The gorgeous diva has an absolutely photogenic face and an endearing personality. Emma is also known for her benevolent nature. She lends her support to children in Nazareth, Pampanga who were suffering from mental disorder. She also visits orphanages for abandoned children in her province and lays support to them.
