Miss World 2019 stunning finalists of Group 1 of the Head to Head Challenge looked ravishing as they answered the question given to them with utmost grace and confidence. The session was held on 24th November 2019 in London itself where the six divas of the first group namely Albania, Peru, England, Korea, Guyana and Honduras gave some stellar answers to the questions thrown at them.

This year, presented by reigning Miss World Vanessa Ponce de Leon and 2016 Miss World Stephanie Del Valle, the Head to Head Challenge provided an exclusive and in-depth look at every single Miss World national representative. Later on, the two judges asked them one common question which was, “Tell us a little bit about your ‘beauty with a purpose’ project.”

Atalanta Kërçyku Miss World Albania 2019 said that her ‘beauty with purpose’ was relate to donating and helping poor children live a better life. She is a part of a large NGO that helps donate to poverty-stricken families in both cash as well as kind. She said that the people never went empty-handed and that was one of the best kinds of help anyone could ever do in order to uplift their country and its people.

Angella Belén Escudero San Martín Miss World Peru 2019 answered very confidently to her question. She began by saying that the journey was tough and she discovered there were a lot of problems in her country. Hence, as an initiative on her ‘beauty with a purpose’ project, she visited children’s homes and provided aids to the needy. She also has done some work to impart knowledge and the benefits of being vegan, amongst the children, since she too is one.

Bhasha Mukherjee Miss World England 2019 was extremely confident as she gave a stellar answer to the question. Her ‘beauty with a purpose’ project revolves around a prevention campaign for Type 2 Diabetes. Being a doctor herself, she chose this particular disease since she believes that it is spreading like wild fire and since the role of a doctor is not just treatment but also prevention, she realised that health care needs utmost attention. According to her, the best way to do that was to give people informed choice, which would come from education to children and mothers.

Ji-yeon Lim (Stephanie Lim) Miss World South Korea 2019 sat in a poised manner as she gave an outstanding answer to her question. She said that in the midst of Korea having developed quite rapidly in the last few years, a few old towns did not receive as much attention. Hence, her ‘beauty with a purpose’ project includes taking care of those old towns. She created a group of young kids and they all took a trip to one of those towns. They painted the walls and played music which brightened up the area and brought people of that town together.

Joylyn Anita Conway Miss World Guyana 2019 says that she is a firm believer is lighting other candles. Her ‘beauty with a purpose’ project is driven towards growing without stereotypes. Helping one another climb the staircase of success and peace is what she is working towards. She believes in the concept of inner light and glowing and helps young girls by inspiring and encouraging them to believe in their light and invent and grow eventually, together.

Ana Grisell Romero Miss World Honduras 2019 did not have to think at all and the answers came naturally to her. As part of her work for her ‘beauty with a purpose’ project, she said that it is all about her foundation focussing on providing education to children living below the poverty line. She gives them a voice to talk about their problems and overcome their rebellious nature of not wanting to study. It is only because of education that the country can grow and that’s what she does.
