With the speculations of several beauty pageants either opting for a virtual crowning or hosting the coronation in a private ceremony or postponing the pageants, it has been announced just few hours ago that the coronation ceremony for 70th edition of Miss World i.e., Miss World 2020 will likely to be held in the second semester of 2021 (around July to December). The decision has been taken due to the ongoing scare of the pandemic coronavirus across the globe.

The decision of postponing the beauty pageant will benefit the delegates who will be competition for the title as they will now have ample amount of time to prepare themselves for the finale night. Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica will crown her successor at the end of the event and as of now 11 delegates from all over the world have been crowned to represent their respective country at Miss World 2020 stage.

The Miss World Organization is yet to announce the news officially about the postponing but it is believed that the ceremony will only take place when it is safe for the delegates and their teams to travel across the globe as some of the countries have implanted the ban on traveling again as there is an increase in the number of cases.

Although several national contests are adapting to the virtual which is a good way to keep the momentum going. Miss World 2019 Toni- Ann Singh is likely to witness a longer reign than her predecessors.
