As beautiful as Toni is, the queen’s melodious voice holds onto a higher place. She graced yesterday’s event of Miss Indonesia 2020 where she enthralled the audience by singing ‘I have nothing’ by American singer Whitney Houston. In the final phase of the Miss World 2019 competition, this rendition of the classic was the same cover that secured her a place in the top 40 of the Miss World competition.

The song has a special place in Toni’s life as it was the same which moved her further in the Miss World competition, and this is was one of the reasons she shared her remarkable memory at the Miss Indonesia’s pageant.

The queen, not only sung her favourite song, but also enthralled the audience by singing in the national language of Indonesia and with her duet with the well-known singer Andmesh Kamaleng, she actually left her print on the hearts of Indonesian people. They were all so delighted to the Jamaican beauty singing in their native language and that too with so much of grace and harmony. The event was a great success as Toni-Ann Singh’s performance gave a special memory to the whole pageant.

Music has always been part of Toni-Ann’s life. As a child, she was part of the choir at the Andrew’s Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church in Kingston and a regular talent on the local children’s Christian program, Kids Time Praise. She also took piano lessons and studied classical music as a child; and according to her cousin, in her teens, Singh reportedly released two gospel albums.

The talented Toni-Ann Singh’s first official single also took a great hit after the rendition of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing’ was released in December following her “Welcome Home” Press Conference in Jamaica. The single was released through the Beauty with A Purpose Organization, the charitable arm of Miss World.
