Pricilia Carla Yules of Sulawesi Selatan crowned Miss Indonesia 2020

Miss Indonesia 2020, the 16th edition of Miss Indonesia, held its coronation night tonight at the Studio RCTI + MNC Studios, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta where Pricilia Carla Yules of Sulawesi Selatan was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Indonesia 2019 Princess Megonondo and will now represent her country in Miss World 2020.

The whole event was a successful affair as it witnessed exemplary performances by thirty-four stunning ladies who competed for the national crown. Pricilia performed with absolute sincerity and dedication at the contest. The stunning 23-year-old is currently studying at William Angliss Melbourne Institute majoring in Patisserie-Hospitality. A confident and talented diva, she also showed that her eloquence will be her USP at the international contest by giving crisp and strong answers at the Q/A round as well. She was a part of our Top favourites for the crown as well. The newly crowned queen’s court (which made the Top 5 of Miss Indonesia 2020) included –

1st Runner-Up - Christella Fenisianti of Bangka Belitung

2nd Runner-Up - Tenga Araminta Nadia Riwu Kaho of NTT

3rd Runner-Up - Larissa Amelinda Soeryana of Jambi

4th Runner-Up - Salma Dhiya Effendi of Sumatra Utara

 

Pricilia Carla Yules of Sulawesi Selatan crowned Miss Indonesia 2020

 

Introducing a new crown this year, the winner reflected the ‘Spirit of Indonesia’ showing the fighting spirit of Indonesian women in the global world. Also present at the coronation night was Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica who enthralled everyone with her melodious voice in ‘I Have Nothing’ song’s rendition.

Out of the thirty-four contestants, only sixteen advanced in the competition where six gained a direct entry by winning the Fast Track events at the competition; Nathalia Hosiana of Sulawesi Tengah won the Talent round, Pricilia Carla Yules of Sulawesi Selatan won the Best Catwalk, Prilly Tamara of Maluku Utara won the Sports Round, Caesaria Ayu Ramadhani won the Nature and Beauty Fashion award while Arifia Maulida of Aceh won the Social Media round and Tenga Araminta Nadia Riwu Kaho of NTT took home the Beauty with a Purpose Award.

The remaining contestants who formed the Top 16 were Alivia Bunga Kurniawan of Jawa Tengah, Lusia Silvana Hermawan of Kalimantan Tengah, Gabrielle Valencia of Sulawesi Utara, Audrey Formoza of NTB, Jennifer Janice Setyawan Halim of Kalimantan Barat, Ericka Verena Sarboni Japar of Jawa Barat and Ning Ayu Suwenda Aisyah of Lampung. Audrey Formoza of NTB also took home the Miss Frienship award while Arifia Maulida of Aceh won the Miss Favourite special award at the coronation night.
