The 70th edition of the Miss World pageant is set to be held on 16th December 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico where delegates from all over the world will compete for the coveted title. The reigning Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica will crown her successor at the end of the event.

There are several preliminary competitions that are held prior to the finale of the pageant including Talent round, Beauty with a Purpose round, Head-to-Head challenge, Top Model competition, Multimedia challenge and Sports challenge all of which test the multidimensional attributes of a candidate. The winner of these events automatically make it into the quarter or semifinals of Miss World. Miss Talent title is given to the contestant adjudged as the most talented by the judges.

After pre-liminary auditions, twenty seven contestants made it into the talent round, out of which Burte Ujin of Mongolia won the award and made it straight to the Top 30 of the competition. Amine Storrød of Norway bagged the second position while Japan’s Tamaki Hoshi, Carol Drpic of Chile and Anna Leitch representing Northern Ireland were adjudged as the third, fourth and fifth runner-up respectively.

“There was a lot of talent this year for the Miss World Talent show. It was a tough decision for the judges to narrow down the countries moving forward to the semi finals,” stated the officials of Miss World. The reigning queen Toni-Ann Singh also wowed the judges with her singing skills and went on to win the Talent round at Miss World 2019.
