The 70th edition of Miss World pageant, i.e., Miss World 2021 is set to be hosted on 16th December 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica will crown her successor at the end of the event.
While all the delegates are involved in the pre-pageant activities and the fast track events, Philippines’ Tracy Maureen Perez has revealed her national costume, ‘Mayari’ designed by the ace designer Axel Que. The intricate and bright floral costume is inspired by Moon Goddess and daughter of Bathala. Hailed as the most beautiful deity, she has complete dominion of the world at night. The moon has been revered as a celestial being by most ancient civilizations in antiquity. Apart from its mysterious allure, it has also been thought to have great cosmic influence on the mortal realm.
Talking about the ensemble, Tracy shared, “My rendition incorporated a lot of traditional forms as the base silhouette, with slight exaggerations in the proportion and volume. For embellishment, I crafted white & purple moon flowers (morning glory/ moon vine) from scratch, and added the gradient shading in the middle to give it more depth. Pearls and tassels thoughtfully border the hemlines.”
28 years-old Tracy is currently working in Sales and Operations and as a Model and has ambitions to be an Entrepreneur. Tracy earned her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of San Carlos, Cebu from 2008 to 2014. Currently, the stunning beauty works as an associate software engineer at Accenture and also as a model on the side. Tracy believes, “What is for you will always find it’s way to you so trust the process, be open, be ready and let things flow.”
Tracy has been emerging as one of the top contenders for the competition this year ever since her arrival with consistent and strong performance so far in the journey. Among her accomplishments, the diva has recently made it to the Top 10 of the Beauty with a Purpose round. Tracy Maureen secured a spot in the Top 30 via judges' choice after being among the winners of the Head to Head challenge.
Tracy had been the front runner and emerged as a potential winner for the title very early in the competition. She is an experienced beauty queen and with her mesmerizing beauty and talent, she sure will make a strong impact at the international platform.
