Miss World 2021 to be held in Puerto Rico?

With the 2020 edition of Miss World being cancelled due to the rampant spread of covid-19 virus, the pageant fanatics are eagerly waiting for the details of the 2021 edition. The 2019 edition saw 111 contestants from various parts of the world compete for the coveted crown as Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica was crowned Miss World 2019.

If rumors are to be believed, Miss World 2021 will most likely be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The 70th anniversary could be held in the beautiful island country anywhere between November and December.

According to the reports, the event, which is expected to take place at the end of December, will have more than 100 candidates from different parts of the planet compete for the coveted crown. If it comes true, Puerto Rico will be the first Latin American country to host Miss World.

several candidates as finalists and semifinalists since the contest began in 1951. Meanwhile, two Puerto Ricans have won the crowns; Wilnelia Merced in 1975 and Stephanie del Valle in 2016.

All the other details of the contest will be given this Wednesday, i.e. 10th March 2021, at a conference press which will be held at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in the San Juan Convention District.
