After a wait of 33 years, Miss World crown finally tasted Polish air as Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska reached her home country on Monday. The queen arrived clad in her blue crown and white pant-suit just a few hours ago while polish paparazzi and her devoted fans flocked the gates of Warsaw Chopin airport.
“I am so excited to come to my home country today. I will bring Miss World crown to Poland after 33 years,” an excited Karolina had posted on her social media recently. Her admirers crowded the international airport with banners of support as they welcomed the model with full smiles.
The 22-year-old management student won the 70th edition of Miss World, on 16th March 2022 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She beat 39 candidates and succeeded Toni Ann Singh of Jamaica for the coveted title. Aneta Kreglicka first won the crown for Poland in 1989. Karolina is second to repeat the feat.
After being crowned by the 69th Miss World, Toni-Ann Singh a tearful Karolina said, “When I heard my name I was shocked, I still can’t believe it. I am honoured to wear the Miss World crown and can’t wait to get to work. I will remember this amazing chapter in Puerto Rico for the rest of my life.”
Bielawska spent her last few days in London. She was last spotted helping White Eagle Club in their ‘Help for Ukraine Appeal.’ According to picture evidence by BBC, CNN, Sky News and Reuters, donations were piled high to the ceiling and hundreds of people arrived every morning to volunteer their time to help sort.
