The Ministry of Tourism and Leisure of Côte d’Ivoire has recently conferred Miss World Africa 2021 Olivia Yacé as the Ambassador of Tourism of Côte d’Ivoire. The Côte d’Ivoire Minister of Tourism, Siandou Fofana appointed her as the Tourism Ambassador. She received a plaque of excellence to honour this after brilliantly representing the Ivorian cultural heritage and exhibiting true national identity and values internationally.
This title has been previously awarded to heavyweights like world renowned footballer, Didier Drogba and the group Magic System. The ceremony featured native Ivorian dances and the press. “When I see the quality and popularity of human monuments such as Didier Drogba and the Magic System group who precede me in this rank, I am impressed by the esteem I enjoy from a whole people,” Olivia shared.
She announced her appointment as she shared, “I am very moved and deeply grateful for the inestimable honor given to me to be raised to the rank of Ambassador of Tourism. I pledge to take to heart the role that is now mine .Thank you to all Ivorians, without exception, each at his level.”
The diva is not a stranger to the abundance of appreciation she has been receiving ever since her stint at Miss World 2021. She was most recently gifted an ultra-luxury apartment villa by the Ivorian First Lady. The Miss World organization had also recently made Olivia the honorary citizen of the commune of Cocody.
Olivia Yacé‘s second runner-up placement at Miss World 2021 was the highest her country, Cote D'Ivoire has ever achieved in Miss World history. Olivia's performance was one of the most consistent and brightest throughout the competition. Yacé is a proud and thankful Ivorian who aims to promote love and improve the world one step at a time.
