Miss World America 2017 is on its road to the finale with twenty-eight gorgeous contestants slated to compete for the title and the privilege to represent the United States of America in Miss World 2017 contest to be held on November 18' 2017, in Sanya, China. The grand final will be held on August 13' 2017 at the Linda Chapin Theatre in the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida.
Audra Mari of North Dakota, who was crowned Miss World America 2016 and was also placed in Top 11 in Miss World 2016, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the event.
Miss World America 2017 is being branded this year as America's Miss World 2017 with the change in the franchise. It may be noted that Christoper Wilmer lost her franchise to Lynne Scott Safrit & Elizabeth Safrit, who are now the new national directors of Miss World in the United States. Elizabeth Safrit was Miss World America 2014 and became the second runner-up in Miss World 2014 held in London.
The finalists of Miss World America 2017 are Abena Appiah, Alexandra Curtis, Ariyanna Zoe Norman, Chance Cessna, Chelsea Boone, Clarissa Bowers, Emanii Davis, JoAnn Imosi Emale, Kaelyn Crede, Katerina Villegas, Kayleen Workman, Krithika Rajkumar, Leila Kraja, Lili Klainer, Louina Lafalaise, Mariela Pepin, Marjana Chowdhury, Maureen Montagne, Michaela Rose Kenny, Mollie Thorsen, Nicole Owens, Radhika Patel, Razana Angel, Sally Sawant, Sasha Perea, Shivali Patel, Sierra Bognear, and Tori Miller.
Amongst the finalists, Shivani Patel and Sasha Perea are back again to compete, having participated last year in Miss World America 2016. Also, a number of other contestants had competed earlier in several American pageants - Alexandra Curtis (Miss America 2016), Maureen Montagne (Miss USA 2015), Emanii Davis (Miss USA 2016), Mariela Pepin (Miss Teen USA 2014), Katerina Villegas and JoAnn Imosi Emale (Miss United States International 2016).
