Amidst the national pageant season, USA has come up with a new National Director for Miss World America. Former Miss World second runner-up Elizabeth Safrit, and her mother Dr Lynne Scott Safrit are the new licence holder of the United States franchise for Miss World.

The mother daughter duo is all set to lead the auditions and selection of the next Miss World USA. The pageant has also been renamed to America’s Miss World. America’s Miss World pageant is slated to be held this summer in Orlando, Florida. However, details about the venue and production are yet to be revealed. In fact, the reigning Miss World Stephanie Del Valle will be travelling to Orlando to tour the city and announce the host location.

Former Miss World USA, Elizbeth Safrit, made the announcement and said, “It is with great honor that we accept leadership of Miss World in the United States. Having experienced Miss World firsthand, I can attest to the value of the organization with the platform that Miss World gives women to embrace new cultures and experiences, all while encouraging them to purse higher achievement.”

 According to sources, Elizabeth and her mother are also going to introduce a charitable organisation, namely Americas Miss World Foundation. The foundation works parallel with the Miss World’s Beauty with a Purpose program by raising awareness and funds for various charitable causes across the country. Elizabeth described the new format of the pageant and said, “This pageant will be different in that the focus on philanthropy will be not only be expected of the contestants, but of the organization itself. We want the organization to make a positive impact on the United States in more ways than just the stellar young women who participate in the program.”

Elizabeth Safrit is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Public Relations and Cooperate Communication from Georgetown University. Dr Lynne Scott Safrit is the President of Castle & Cooke North Carolina for over 30 years now.
