Miss World Australia organization held the finale of the 2022 edition on 29th April 2022 at the Palazzo Versace where Kristen Wright was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of her country at the upcoming edition of Miss World.
Kristen Wright is 23 years of age and a biomedical science student from Victoria. The stunning beauty gave a stellar performance at the finale night impressing everyone with her sincerity and dedication.
Miss World Australia 2022 Kristen Wright’s court included –
1st Runner-up – Ruby Schofield from NSW
2nd Runner-up – Emma Healy of Queensland
After winning the crown, Kristen said she felt 'overwhelmed'. “But I'm absolutely honoured to have the title and I hope to do Australia proud at the international competition”, Kristen said.
The judges on the panel included Simone Elliott from the Real Housewives of Melbourne, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here star Alli Simpson and Jade Kevin Foster from the Netflix hit, Byron Baes.
There were 24 national finalists in the Miss World Australia contest and they managed to raise an impressive $389,000 for the Variety charity. Kristen is a certified scuba diving instructor with more than 36 certifications in the field and she also one of youngest qualified scuba instructors in Victoria.
Kristen succeeds Miss World Australia 2019 Sarah Marschle for the crown who represented the country at Miss World 2019 and placed in Top 40. The country withdrew its participation in the 70th edition.
