The 26th edition of Miss Bulgaria concluded with the crowning of Marina Bulgaria as the new Miss Bulgaria 2016. The gorgeous Bulgarina woman was chosen through a combination of jury and real time Internet voting, organised in Intersound.

Marina Voikova is only 21 years old and is a native of Elin Pelin. Currently she is studying Bulgarian Philology at Sofia University. Initially, Marina was to compete at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant. However, now the beauty queen will spread her charm at the Miss World pageant. She will now compete at the Miss World 2016 pageant.

This is not her first title, she was also chosen for Little Miss Bulgaria in 2004. At the same event, Alexandrina Tsvetkova was titled as the first runner- up. She is a student in the German High School in Burgas and has been training rhythmic gymnastics for 7 years. Irena Petrova of Sevlievo was adjudged second runner- up. Her interests are ballroom dancing, acrobatics, and basketball. She is majoring in "Business Administration".

Marina is a professional model, and has been practicing modelling for almost two years now. However, she has already worked with some of the best fashion agencies in Paris and Istanbul. She recently travelled to the fashion capitals, Milan and London, for her modelling assignments. This year, the cause of the Miss Bulgaria contest was the switch to clean living environment.
