The finale of Miss World Bulgaria 2022 was held on Wednesday, 7th December 2022 at the Princess Casino Sofia Ramada Hotel & Spa in Sofia where Kristiyana Yordanova was crowned Miss World Bulgaria 2022. She was crowned by former titleholder and now national director Veneta Krasteva.

Kristiyana Yordanova is 24 years of age and an author and psychology and neuroscience student at the University of British Columbia. The Bulgarian beauty will represent Bulgaria at the 71st Miss World. Kristiyana Yordanova is of Bulgarian Canadian descent. Not new to the pageantry, she participated in the Miss World Canada 2022 and placed in the Top 15.

On winning the national pageant, Kristiyana Yordanova took to her official social media as she wrote, "I was deeply affected as a child when I had to move away from everything I had ever known. I missed my roots deeply, and so being able to connect with my culture yet again so seamlessly was so beautiful and genuine.”

As a mental health advocate, Kristiyana has also started ‘Woman Squared’ to use her platform for an open conversation and change the narrative about women in society. She quoted, "It is about having an open conversation with one another about how to lend a helping hand when it comes to mental health struggles."

"I want to hear each and every story, of those who may have faced hardships in mental health ... once we feel comfortable being vulnerable, we can truly guide one another on the right path. Experiences shape us, and each person is unique," she added.
