The finale of Miss World Cayman Islands 2022 was held on 24th September 2022 at Harquail Theatre where Leanni Tibbetts of George Town was crowned the new queen. Leanni Tibbetts will now represent Cayman Islands at Miss World 2022.
Leanni Tibbetts is 25 years of age and an aviation management graduate. She is a pilot and sub-lieutenant at the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps. Leanni succeeds and was crowned by Miss World Cayman Islands 2021 Rashana Hydes.
Apart from winning the national crown, Leanni also won the subsidiary titles of Miss Photogenic, Best in Sports, Best in Island Couture and Best in Interview. Leanni was a crowd favourite for the national crown since the beginning of the competition.
Leanni is also an environmental conservation advocate. The stunning beauty lives by the quote ‘Be the Change’ and wishes to use her platform to empower women and specially for women who have been victims of abuse. Leanni also wishes to advocate for environmental initiatives.
Leanni Tibbetts succeeds and was crowned by Miss World Cayman Islands 2021 Rashana Hydes who competed at Miss World 2021 but failed to place in the Top 40. Cayman Islands is yet to pioneer its win at Miss World.
