Charlene Tafuna'I has been crowned Miss World Fiji 2014 at the finals of the event held at the Pearl South Pacific Resort in Pacific Harbour, Fiji on July 26th. She is 20 years old, and will now represent Fiji at Miss World 2014 pageant to be held in London this year.
Charlene is a student of aircraft engineering, and she defeated the nine other finalists to win the title. Besides she also won the Beach Beauty, People's Choice and Best Evening Gown awards at the event. Tafuna'i said the pageant has been a challenge for her trying to balance school, the pageant and family time during the eight weeks.
Asena Rokotuiwai was adjudged first runner-up and she also walked away with the Top Model award. Vasiti Radekedeke was crowned the second runner-up. Miss Photogenic award went to Teresia Weeks.
The panel of judges for the event included Lanny Zenga- Director of Scouting One Management, one of the world’s top boutique model agencies in New York, Natalie Marletta- General Manager of The Pearl South Pacific and Tappoo’s Executive Director, Kaushal Tappoo.
